General Copywriting This is content written for the purpose of promoting a business, person, idea, or organization. It can be written as a direct sales pitch or may be content that is simply informative and related to the industry or product being sold.

What is the Difference? The difference between standard copywriting and SEO copywriting has everything to do with the way that certain keywords and key phrases are worked into the text. In addition to this, the use of meaningful tags is often incorporated. The content does not lose its meaning, its feel, or its rhythm, but does appeal to search engines when written in this format.

How a Search Engine Views Copywriting When a person types a query into a search bar on sites like Google, Yahoo, or Bing, the website sends out so-called 'spiders' that dig through millions of other websites in search of information that is closely related to the word or phrase the individual entered. The more times that keyword or phrase is found on a particular webpage, the more likely it is that the page will seen by the individual. There are a lot of factors that come into play as a search engine analyzes a page's worth, but keyword-rich tags and content play a big role.

What Makes SEO Copywriting Difficult There are many challenges that come with creating effective SEO copywriting. Recognizing these challenges can help you and your company avoid commonly made mistakes.

1 Overuse of keywords is probably the number one offense seen on the web. While this might pay off in the short term, it doesn't take long for the search engine algorithms to catch up. A page that has little in the way of valuable content, but the same keywords appearing over and over and over again will quickly be blocked and once that has happened, it is hard to come back.

2 Dangerously 'sales-pitchy' content is that which oversells the company, the employee, or the product. These pieces can often come across as phony and can scare the consumer away before he or she has had a chance to buy.

3 Poorly written content is also a big risk for a company. Though it is perfectly acceptable, and even recommended that these pieces be written in a voice that appeals to the targeted audience, they should still be proofread for grammatical and spelling errors.

4 Rarely updated sites can present challenges for the company as well. You may have found your way to the top of the ranks for now, but as the competition continues to work on fresh, new content, you can slip back down rather quickly. It is important to continually update websites with new and worthwhile SEO copywriting.

  1. There are couple of tools which allow users to copy their content and don't change original meaning of content. I am recommend to all users to avoid copy writing which negative affect on SERP.
